It is with a heart full of joy that I welcome you to our official website. As the Parish Priest of this hallowed ground in Mahagalgamuwa, I am humbled to serve in the very place where our Great Apostle, St. Joseph Vaz, once lived, prayed, and protected the faithful.

Mahagalgamuwa is more than just a destination; it is a spiritual home. It is the place of the Miraculous Ebony Cross, where the Saint’s faith overcame the dangers of the wild and where, today, he continues to grant protection and healing to those who call upon him. Every day, I witness the quiet miracles of faith in the eyes of the pilgrims who kneel at our altar.

My mission here is to ensure that every person who visits, whether in person or through this website, feels the presence of God and the comforting intercession of St. Joseph Vaz.
